Ok so for the last 12 he's I've been trying to figure out this horrible linkage setup..
I picked up a 80 4x4 and not even 5 miles of driving it home the Carb crapped out. So spent all night pulling it apart cleaning and putting it back together and boy it sure needed it.
Anyways I've searched and searched and just can't find any pics of the Carb linkage.. if anyone has some pics or a spare one they can take some from please help a fellow luv owner out.

I know why rebuild rather than replace with a Weber I will in the future but right now I'm dead broke and couldn't even afford a tube of silicone :/

I've got a Haynes manual but it doesn't really show crap.. exploded views dont really help

Here's some pics.. I got a little further but now its as if I'm only able to get 1/4 throttle. And the acceleration piston stays almost 1/2 to 3/4 ways pushed in when rod is connected

Mods I'm doing all this from my phone so I can only post a pic at a time or my web crashes
edit: thank God for photobucket app..

I took 4 pics of mine and this is the only one that wasn't blurry. When I rebuilt mine, I used the factory LUV shop manual carburetor blow-ups and drawings to get the linkage back together correctly. I remember that it was a real head scratcher too! If you don't have a shop manual, they can be found on ebay. They are much better for reference than the Haynes books.

Thank you for the pic man. Although yours is a dcp it does show me something..
See my connecting rod for the accelerator piston seems alot longer and keeps the piston closed in about 50-60% of the way which has been throwing me off it seems my linkage is all correct so that's why I'm so stuck on it.. I'm just trying to make sure everything. Is correct before bolting it back on.
Ill snap another pic in the morning to show what I mean
