Just bought a 77 luv and need an automatic transmission for it. What all automatics will work in these?

:idea: Just for fun why not try a fluid and filter change with a good additive like Lucas transmission fix? Much cheaper and may get the job done.

It is a GM transmission. TH 100 or 200 metric transmission. Someone else will jump in that knows more. I would think some newer Trouper tranny may work, but dadinfo. Is right. Also smell the tranny fluid on the dipstick, if may tell you a little. Bit if it smells burnt. Do the fluid and filter no matter what.
