 Post subject: Pricing question.

i own a 1981 LUV that's been sitting in my front yard for a long time--blown engine. someone in the neighborhood wants to buy it to fix up and wants me to quote a price. i haven't a clue and am hoping someone can help me. first of all, as stated, blown engine. however before that, the transmission was overhauled and the master cylinder was replaced along with the brake shoes and the rear wheel cylinders. the body is in fair shape--some rust but no through and through damage, no dings. it also has a tow bar installed. kelley blue book and edmund's sites were unable to help. can anyone give me at least a clue or another site i could use to research this? ANY help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Since the new owner would be looking at about $1500.00 for a new engine, I think $500.00 or less would be about it.

I bought mine with a running motor for $300. Just depends on what area you are in, but yeah, no more than $500.
