There were some poopcanned engines in the shop that I work at that needed to be put into the back of the shop truck to go away. So the porter and car wash guys toted them out with the engine hoist and set them on the ground behind the truck. Now wouldnt it make sense to use the hoist to put them into the truck? I guess it didnt to them because they lifted all of them by hand and the car wash dude pulled a muscle in his back. I think we need to include a short IQ test along with our applications.

Yep. All you can do is shake your head some times and thank god he gave you some common sence before he ran out of it.

It might have been here somewhere that I read:

I heard a story this week about a guy in Reno that propped his ladder against a pipe, tied himself off to the pipe, and then cut the pipe in two with his saw. Apparently as soon as he broke through, his ladder, the pipe, and himself all went down and got tangled in the machine he was above. Apparently this was all caught on a camera and is now being distributed company wide as what not to do.

I've been trying to get a copy of it but I haven't seen the guy that told me the story since the day he told me.

I remember an OSHA movie I had to watch at a dealership about safety that had some stuff like this in it. It seemed corny at the time but now I realize who it was made for.

It should be called uncommon sense, cause if it is common more people would have it. :D
