I am from Boise Idaho and am just throwing this out there to see if anyone has ever run across my old luv. I deeply regret selling her and would gladly try to locate and buy back if the chance ever came up....
1972 red luv. was the first one ever sold in idaho by bob allen chevrolet. I purchased in 1986 from the original owner with under 75k on the clock.
they received 4, sold 3 and kept one for parts since the truck was so new, warranty parts weren't yet in stock....
I owned the truck for about 5-6 years. during that time it was lowered, tilt bed, shaved everything, fully upholstered interior, porsche guards red paint and custom red/chrome rims. was a very nice truck. blew motor and ended up selling to a friend, wayne wilemon. he swapped in a 79 motor out of a dead luv(tranny) that he owned. he drove until 93/94 and traded in to the isuzu dealer here in boise. they gave him "2k" as a trade in, and then wholesaled the car off the lot for $500. it was gone in less than 2 days or I would have gone back to purchase...I was 6 hrs too late.
I have not seen the truck since.
I believe that someone knows of it's whereabouts. hopefully on here.
I have owned 1 luv since. after selling my baby, I purchased another 72 a year later. it had a 283/turbo350/narrowed 9". was very fast, but the conversion left a lot to be desired. sold later to a 17y.o. kid that blew the motor 12 hours after he and his dad drove away in it. never have seen that truck either....
thanks for listening to my story and if anyone knows the whereabouts of my original 72, help me out.
thanks
scott
