So I am hard at it  , sittin in the office doing a crossword puzzle when I hear this kinda loud whoosh sound right. I kinda lean over to look in the lab part of our office to see our nitric acid weigh out station fully ingulfed in flames 8O Im like shit, jump up grab a fire exstinguisher, and put out the flames. Keep in mind its concentrated nitric acid mixed with some acetone. Friggin fumes just about knocked me out. Luckily I had my resperator about 2 ft from where I was standing, and was able to put it on right away. Anyway I am having a real interesting night tonight, and figured I would share. Later T.

Thanks for putting it out! I wouldn't want the plant to burn down and not have a job!

If there happens to be a next time, please put your mask on BEFORE you go trying to put out a fire like that. Glad you're ok.

We work for Kodak. I am a chemical operator, and work in a dept. that mixes alot of diffrent chemicals, but through out the plant we gots some bad bad stuff, so any fire no matter the size is pretty scary stuff!
