Sunday May 1st 2005. Workhorses and Warbirds at March Air Museum in Riverside.
American Truck Historical Society. It's mostly antique trucks from back in the teens up to the 70's. A lot of big rigs. Last year we hosted the national event and I was the only Luv there, but everybody had a comment / memory about "those little trucks". Any way the show is $20 to enter a truck in the show and $5 to just come look.
I'm getting this from the flyer sent to me, contact Barry Qween 951-689-7308 or Steve Sackett 951-247-6716 for info. There might be camping available for Sat. night but I'm not for sure so I would call first. The event location is new this year, we used to have it at California High School field in Whittier. The air field will have the air museum opened for the plane fans out there too.
I will post more info as it gets mailed to me.
The national web site is http://www.aths.org and the so cal chapter site is http://www.scaths.org .

O.K. it's this weekend. I be out there with my little blue. (my truck, not the Texan)
Any way, Reg. is $20.00, Walk in is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for 5-11, and under 5 free. Parking ir free. I believe if you enter a truck in the show you also get a admission to the air museum included. If you walk in it's extra. (I don't know how much).

It's a working/ antique truck show, so some are beautiful and some are rusted out and on a trailer but they bring them just for the conversation. It's a fun time.

The luv looks kinda out of place there, but it is pre 1980 and it everyone that walks by it says, "oh yea I remember these. My dad, friend, neighbor, grandpa uncle, boss had one. It was a great little truck."

Well I've been off all week. They are putting a new trans. in my (the companies) cabover. (finally. I don't know how drivers can ruin a trans. in less than 200,000 mi. when I put over 600,000 on my own truck with no problem), but any way I get to quit babying it along and hoping it gets me there from now on.

I will be at the truck show, I am driving the companies 1957 Peterbilt and hauling my friend's 1919 Moreland truck. My son will be behind me in the Luv. So I will be there , Hope some of you can also make it. Ron

p.s. Just look for the LUVTruck.com T-Shirts! Thats us. Ron.
