Well my little fixer uper LUV turned into a frame up resto with over $3500 invested and lots of custom stuff ( 4 link rear with dump airbags for drag racing, and other stuff), and a sterio that would make a person proud to go deaf from. Unfortunatly My bank account and wallet are hurting big time and my priorities have changed dramatically (college, and getting onto a pro paintball team). I am sad to say I am in the process of getting rid of my LUV. I am trading my LUV and all of the parts (including an engine that I spent probably $3000 in parts). For my buddies 78 stepside 2wd, I think it is a Chyene, which is woth $5500, and A a 350 we JUST rebuilt last summer. I need something to drive and My LUV has turned out to be more work than I can handle, and I am no longer able to keep it where I was working on it.

Thank yall for all your help and as soon as I get done with college I will find myself a LUV. Later all and I will keep an eye on this site.

Dan

Bummer. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I had to sell a 79 Trans Am for half of what I had into it to bail ourselves out of some financial trouble. Life goes on.

Good luck to ya, and remember study study study (the women) and sometimes hit the books.
I had to let go of my lowered 83 1/2 ton for a suburban in 91 because of kids. I finally got a p.u. again in 98!

Good thinking. I have been working on my truck for over 7 years. If I can not pay cash for my parts, it does not get them. But one day I will get to drive it. Glad you decided to keep it.
