I made a pretty picture of my luv but when I make it the size of the icon requirements, you can't see what it is anymore

Image

guess what my boyfriend goes to Lake Washington Technical College for auto body and paint and he is going to paint my new cowl hood black with the cowl pink. :) That'll be after the engine swap, though, so he can take the whole truck down and match the black. So that means I have to wait. :(

So if anyone wants something painted, they do really good work. I know you pay for the paint (obviously) but I dunno about labor. Just an idea.

Ya that's what I've heard is that they paint stuff. I actually am going there right now for graphics engineering. I've seen some of their work and can vouch for it. good stuff!!! So you don't know if you have to pay for labor or not then?

a lot of the vocational colleges/technical schools charge you only for materials and a shop fee, rather than labor fees. the advantages to using a school, is the money savings and you usually get a very nice product (gotta train them right) and the big drawback is they sometimes can take a lot longer to complete the job. i used Clover Park VocTech, Lakewood, WA back in the '80's and it was a very sweet deal. I would check into the actual fees and timeframes and i would bet money wise it's a cheaper deal. But definitely an option worth checking out.

I checked up on it, labor is $20/hour.

and yeah, you're right, it does take longer 'cause you're not really their top priority.

:? well just an idea!!

It's still definetly cheaper than having it painted by someone else. usually labor in just a regular auto shop is around $45-75 per hour anymore.
