Well they don't exactly get oscars but has anyone else seen luvs in movies? I've seen only one so far, it's in the movie "Mars Attacks" during the part where they're showing the cars driving into the desert you can see a Green Chvy Luv driving in, i couldn't tell which year exactly but it had the 4 headlights and i think 3 tie-downs on the side of the bed...

Has anyone seen this or seen other movies with luvs???

i cant remember the name of the flick......but i do remember a 80s movie where theres a scene of some one standing in front of a big window (like a storefront) and you can see the front end of a 4x4 LUV...if i remember right its red and has the big 4X4 decal on the hood.

I have never seen a Luv on a movie but I did see one on a TV show. It was on Powerblock, were that lady talks about things after the show, and had some quiz thing about a Luv and talked about hers. Thats all I have ever seen about a Luv on TV.

I bet a lot of 70's movies have them. I know there is at least 1 in Cheech & Chong's "Up In Smoke" I have not watched the whole movie through in a while, but caught the last half on tv a few months ago and saw a quick flash of the back end of a yellow one. Tailgate said Chevrolet :) I also wonder if the blue one shown from birds eye view a few times is a blue long bed ? There could be a ton of luvs in this movie, most of the movie they are on the road getting chased by Sgt. Stadenko ! lol

I can't remember since its been quite a few years, but it seems like the truck Tony Hawk drove around in Gleaming the Cube was a LUV. Might have to visit the bargain bin at blockbuster and see if I can find a copy of that Kwality movie... :P

I remember when I was a kid seeing them all over in CHiPs and the occasional unplanned appearance in stuff like Knight Rider and Dukes of Hazzard. I saw one on the news a while back in a live shot, was pulling out of some apartment complex where a shooting or break in happened. It was a 4 banger with loud pipes, sorta drowned out the newscaster for a few seconds.

There is one in the movie "The Great Outdoors" John Candy, Dan Akroyd. Oldest son kisses a girl outside the store and there is a maroon one sitting there with the tinted strip across the windshield that says "LUV" on it.

Heres a couple screen shots of the Back To The Future LUV. By the looks of the bed, it has 4 tie-downs, so it must be a '72 - '76.

We were just flipping thru the channels and saw one on that movie "9 to 5" with Dolly Pardon. It's in that scene where the guy is trying to get the handcuffs off and she was leaving her bosses house.

Are you sure that's a luv, looks kinda ford-ish like a courier or a lowered f-100... besides the sides of the cab don't have the 3 slotted vents or an emblem, and if you look on the side of the door on the top picture it the body line on it doesn't go up like luvs do, are there any other shots of this truck???
