Hi Everybody, I recently was given a 78 LUV truck from one of my neighbors who was moving and could not take it with them.
The little beast has 107k on it and is still running strong, but it is a little ruff around the edges, but what the heck so am I!. So to find out more about these great little trucks I did a Google search and this site was first one to pop up. So I will be stopping in to ask questions from time to time to get this truck back on the road as soon as possible. Till then here's some pics of the wee beastie.

As far as i am concerned, you got a little jewel. Everything looks straight, and i don't see much rust. They tend to have some rust, so you might want to check under the bed liner. I'm still waiting for someone to give me a good one.

Thought I'd check back in and answer some of your questions.
Rust-wise it's not bad now, you shoud have seen it when the neighbors first moved in, both of the doors were so rusty the door skins were flapping in the wind going down the road. I happen to work for a towing company that has abandoned vehicle auctions every month, So when a 75 LUV minus the motor/trans came though, I picked it up for $15 and we put doors and box (they were rust free) on the 78. The floors are soild, The pass. side rocker and fender have a little rust, but both easy fixes.
The bed liner was a recent addition, It came off a 81 Nissan pu, A little trimming on the liner where it meets up with the LUV tailight buckets and it drops right in. The tailgate protector even fits the LUV tailgate.
