Yep, thats right.
Me and a buddy were out at his house working on his mom's 70' Chevelle, replacing some vaccum lines, etc. We needed some more vac lines to finish, and I knew there was some on my 1.8L that we took out of the LUV when we did the SBC swap. (did the swap at his house) We just layed it in the back of my buddy's step dad's old Toyo truck. This was over a year ago now when the swap took place by the way. Well I wander out there, and 8O ITSGONE! 8O Turns out his step dad sold the toyo truck for parts, and ASSUMED that I didn't want the 1.8L engine anymore since the valves were screwed when the timing thain let go, and just let the guy take my engine too

Well, the guy who now owns my engine lives 7 hours away, and I am not about to go and make a road trip to get the engine, but I am a little POed. And I cannot really blame my buddys step dad, since he did let me store it at his place, and he let us tie up his shop for 6 months to do the SBC swap.

Well anyways, I'm over it now, just wish I could have scavenged some of the NEW parts I put on it prior to it blowing the timeing chain.. Oh well thats life..

Back in the day, I had a 72 Dodge challenger W/ a 340 in it. Wasn't running at the time and was parked at my buddys house [ or so I thought he was] Went over one day to do some work on it, and as I was driving up to it, I noticed the front end was sittin kinda high. You guessed it. The motor was gone. My buddy was like " man I dont know where it went" flippin lying bastard. Sold the car the next day for like $100.

That sucks LUVNIT! :x

Can't say I have ever had a friend sell anything on me. I forgive this one for lack of communication, but in the future its not going to happen again. I made the decision I am going to go and get all my stuff from his place and put it in my own shop. At least then I KNOW where it is. I have quite a collection there: VW Sand Rail, 3 speed chevy tranny, parts to the LUV yet, SBC 400 block and parts..etc..
