you gotta be grimace.but maybe it was time to slow down.....the sob wanted to go airborne......maybe ,hell i aint got nothing to prove.......truck was real close to 5.00s /4 90s .....and i am driving it on the street......but 10 miles=2mpg for 30 dollars= 5 gallon fuel cell has gotten old..very quick..hell/ im thinking of getting another luv and ..making it a good street truck like some guys in here..i miss those days.......its fun to have a beast bro,but its 80/120$$$ for fuel a week especially if you racing..then 50 /75$$$$ to race and 25$$$ buy backs..fuel for towing..changing oil after every weekend......trans fluid every other weekend.....i figure 175 to 200 a week just to maintain.not counting plugs, breakdowns, tons of shit going wrong.time to get a luv and go back to basics nice 350 or 400/pump gas, ford 9 inch..etc and just have fun and cruise......and run low8s to mid 7s and smile and drive it home with no worries....its fun to be at cruise ins and know 'you da man'but wtf does it prove, hell you can't drive it anywhere.have to tow it,i took a drag truck and tried to make it streetable......it just aint happening.its made to do one thing.go straight in a hurry....one damn fast truck.....i have t shirts that say that .hehehehe.....

you r right LUVNIT.....people selling these types of vehicles NEVER tell you the cost of maintenance or $$$$ just to keep running, its just something never spoken of.....or tell you it runs on racing fuel .etc etc etc.....the truck has become a chore/job/pain in the azz.......its supposed to be fun /hobby....etc. takes ALL of my spare time and its got to stop....I remember seeing vehicles like mine years ago saying..damn..i d love to have one like that......hell i got one now .be careful what you wish for........its been fun..ALL luvs are great in my opinion, they all break down,we always trying to find something different to do to em......raise em /lower em/make em go faster =im guilty.4 wheel em.....thats what makes em so interesting......and challenging.....im looking at about 5 grand just to replace guides, lifters, shaftmouted rocker system, maybe valves ,springs,etc...im hoping this is a dream err nightmare i can wake up and all is well.NOT.......my choc lab just let a terrible fart..daaamn..guess i aint dreaming........

Next time, build a 502. I "built" one on my computer, and it pumped out 1050 hp at the flywheel with only a 250 shot. It was on pump fuel, not rocket fuel. It had an 8.71 blower also.

blower motors are cool grim but here in va..if you wanna drive it on the street,it can't be above 4 inches on the hood....most ALL unless underhood blowers are and I don't wanna hack my truck up to make it fit...like i said how many low 5 second vehicle have you ever seen in your life=legit..that everything works..honestly mine is the first..most don't even have a wiper linkage must less a motor, sure they might stick wipers on but just for show,or markers..etc..and all steel with NO fiberglass truck narrowed, trimed in right lplace,if i would have lowered the front end about three/four inches et s would have dropped but then i could not really turn it as sharp as i liked.or changed front end again..and it would really give it a funny car look which i did not want, but aero =much better.....im a small block guy.........its a challenge to make em go with monster big blocks.but its possible...no its not practicall, but it works....plus in va.if you have a blower motor unless possible antique, you can lose the vin number.....which makes it not driveable at all......only at drags, this is a commonwealth state.we have strict laws and it sucks....we have traffic stops a lot in my area checking for license,d u i s,seatbelts.....etc makes it even harder although i don't drink=rarley........oregon weather here...rain till next Monday..sux.......

That sucks about the hood laws. I knew a guy in my home town that ran a 6.71 on a big block with no hood. Cops never gave him troubles. Sounds like you have your work cut out for ya. Good luck
