Finally got a dig. camera and took some pics today. Hope you enjoy them; it’s a work in progress but runs great and for only $300 at an auction plus $225 for the bed not a bad investment. Wife calls it my mid life crises toy "had one in the 70/80's high school” going old school but with a few new things LED tail light eventually.

No offence but that bed doesn't really look like it goes with the LUV style. Is that a OEM bed? Or is that off a diffrent type of truck?

Its the same OEM like I remember at the dealers when the luv was new. The chevy dealer in Roseburg allways had 2/4 stepsides when I would go down there in 79-80. I was told they were a $2000 dollar option.

when all mods are done the last thing ill do is paint. I don’t like it with all the colors I would like to at least primer it but the wife likes it this way and calls it the luv of many colors and gets complements every where she goes. One guy followed her for three miles waved her down and offered her $5000 for the truck he had never seen one and loved it, cash on the spot "she was at the bank" she said no its my husbands midlife crises toy  . My ex would of sold it and then told me it was stolen

I dun know about back-ups, but the other lights look like trailer light set-ups I've seen all over the place. Never thought to use 'em on a truck though.

the turn signals are from a hot rod shop in town
the tail lights are trailer lights
and no back-up lights yet

The stepside bed that I have has lights like that as well (trailer style), but they are mounted on the outside edges of the bed. At least for now, I am planning on placing some underneath the bed when I get it all setup.

I was lucky and found the grill at a junk yard for $10 or $15 dont remember. I have been lucky on finding things cheap I allso found perfict honda pralude seat that fit just right just made 2 brackets and whent right in olny $40 for the pair, other places wonted $300-$400 for the same seats. I like the stance just right, 3 inch drop in the back and 2.75 in the front

yeah I noticed that stance. mine sits up high in the back, I say it has a big butt.

I need $40 to lower the back....lol. It seems cheap but I could be spending the $40 elsewhere.

hey if you ever find another grille like that, buy it for me!!!! I promise I'll pay you back! :D

oh yeah on another note, I have the same trailer lights for tail lights. I definitely have tail light problems, though. when I turn on the blinker and brake, the blinker doesn't keep blinking. and I don't have back up lights. little problems are annoying

JessMN check your ground, and make sure you turn signal and brake wires are not touching, mine did that, the two wires rubed together and when I hit the brakes the turn signal wouldnt work

first of all you need a 2 way bulb..2 filamints not one..secondly on trailor lights they are only 2 stage.....they will not mark and blink at the same time...your sginals have three wires coming out of them..trailor lights only have 2..trust me ..i have been via that and tried it..this will solve your problem

also you can wire the back up lights up easily....switch hot cold simple...toggle with light so you can tell they are on...when you have three wires going into..no way they can signal and brake ..not enuff circuits=for above question

Hey jess, I only paid 24.95 for my 3" lowering blocks and U bolts. Why is it costing you 40 bucks? And until you get that if you want it to sit level, LUV's sit on tortion(SP) bars in the front. You just get under there and crank em down. :D
