Man I was going downtown today, and well I was in the passenger seat of my buddys truck as we came to a light there was this VW stopped and next to me. I could hear the motor, and sure as shit, it didn't sound like no VW. I told my buddy to pull forward. Thats when I noticed the driver was sitten towards the rear. I said " hey you got a v8 in that?'. Of course he just smiled and said " yha " and kinda nailed it and pulled away. Damn that thing was sick!!! I wonder what it would do on the strip?? Kinda makes me want to buy and do a swap on a bug :D :D I could call it a LUVBUG

I'll agree that a V8 LUV is 10 times better. However, a V8 bug can be a lot of fun too. There used to be one around town here that had been swapped over to a Jeep CJ frame with a SBC V8 and sat on about 35" tires. It sorta gave new meaning to the concept of an off road bug. ;)

Get this. There was a guy in the city I used to live in (in Texas) that had a yellow bug that had a 426 Hemi in it! No lie. Don't know what kind of frame was under it, but I was in high school at the time, (mid 80's), and he would drive it around town occasionally. He never raced it, but it sounded bbbbad. Barely streetable. As far as know, he still has it. I've never seen nothing like it, but I guess you can do anything with a cutting torch. 8O
