Here are some pictures of my first trip to Paragon Adventure Park with my Luv after a complete transformation from 2wd to 4wd and fabricatiing 8 inches of lift for the truck. I rode with a group of stock vehicles on the first ride since it was the first run and needed to work the bugs out and see how it would react to the various off road situations. Not too many pictures were taken because of the rain, plus the day got cut short due to the fact it was a Sunday and the trail guides and staff wanting to go home early. Next trip promises more photo's of what a Luv can do.

Enjoy

lookin good gordo.....

she looks to be a bit stiff.....maybe the next upgrade is a high travel 4 link for the rear so you can get the maximum amount of suspension articulation?!

I wasn't saying they look bad. Well, actually they do look "bad" but in a good way. I just thought it was kinda sacreligious to put Jeep rims on they Chevyzu.

is that the one you did the drop front suspension on? looks pretty good if you asked me!

i think it would be cool to fab up some kind of long travel suspension for a luv. don't know where i'd start though, i'm not too knowledgeable on a-arm stuff. maybe transplant a narrowed TTB off an '80s f150 or something...would be great for jumping :D

Yeah, that's the one I cut the frame on and lowered the front suspension in order to get the lift. If I got a solid front axle out of a early Toyota, that would have enabled more lift and definately more flex. Finances kind of limited my options though. The truck felt solid as a rock (including the springs) Ouch! bumped my head on the roof a few times. I just wish it had power steering. Driving on the street is fine, but trying to hold onto the steering wheel while going over large rocks is kinda like arm wrestling all day long.

Thanks Nascar. That's a pretty cool ride you have too. Where did you get the step side bed? Is that off a full size Chevy? If so, did you have to shorten or narrow it to fit the Luv?
