To help pay for the hosting costs of the board we're going to be adding a little advertising here and there. It's going to be a subtle thing, no pop-ups or anything like that.

One way you guys can help out is to use our advertising links since we get a little kickback for it. For example, the new Tirerack.com link is set up so that if you click on the link and then you make a purchase from tirerack.com within the next 60 days, we get a tiny percentage of the sale.

You'll be saving money on tires, and you'll be helping us pay the bills around here at the same time. You won't be paying any more by clicking on the link instead of just going there directly, but you'll be helping us out.

The items in the "goodies" section of the site haven't generated any income to speak of so right now the advertising is our only way to help pay for the site.

So far we haven't gotten any money from the banners so I just wanted to remind everyone to use our links when you need to buy tires.

I just added the poster banner too. It's not really related to Chevy LUV's but they have some cool posters, and they give us a kick back percentage when you guys buy from them after clicking on our link.

I'll be buying some new tires in a couple of months or so, and I'll do my part to support the site.... Hope these folks sell slicks.

Hey, Ben, have you considered putting a paypal donate thingy up? You may want to ask around about how many members would be willing to donate a small amount annually or whenever they feel generous. Maybe start a new discussion with a poll?

Just a thought.
