hello all, new memeber with a new toy...unfortunately it use to be a drag racer, several parts and no VIN number on door jams, dash been recovered/painted, title provided says '72 (and not stolen, etc), title vin indicates a '78 from several of the on-line feebie checks, front end is signle side lights, dash is a dual oval type....how do i get DMV to recongize this vehicle so i can acquire Antique plates to minimize inspection problesms with the VIN/year combo's

that's a good question, the headlights say 78, the dash says earlier

I would recommend calling or better yet, visiting the DMV and asking them the questions. even though it takes forever and they are running around all the time, most of them are usually knowledgable, or know who to ask.
go there with time to kill and patience.
