Man I am having too much fun. By calling the wrecking yards I found out that 98-02 ZR-2 S-10 Chevy pickup has a 8.5 ring and pinion as opposed to the normal 7.5 also positraction and disc brakes. There is one drawback, it has a 3:08 gear in it. I can put some 4:56Richnond gears in it later, but for now that will get me on the road. Also the Jimmy, and S-10, 4 wheel drive are 2 1/2 inches wider, but they come with a 3:42 and 3:73 gears. The prices for the 4 wheel drive rear ends were around $750.00 to the $800.00 range but they were almost new. The ZR-2 that I'm getting cost $450.00, and it only has 5000 miles on it. Plus they are going to deliver it tomorrow. I suppose some photos are in order Whew, If I ever needed a smilie it would be now.

disc brakes and positraction without having to do alot of modification.

I have a 99 ZR2 with a tow package on it and it came with 3.73's. But mine is also a 5 speed.
