same thing happens here in spokane. Theres a few luvs out in the pull and save that look good whith no rust good body eveything. It seems to me that people are running into having to run around for parts a bit and they just give up :(

i'll never give up, i enjoy the hunt for parts. i just found the bearing and seal for my front axle that i've been looking for. i checked the auto parts store and a friend at a local parts store called 30 different bearing places. i checked the chevy dealership and it was discontinued in 1994. they told me to try isuzu. and what do ya know, they showed it was available. so they ordered it and it should be in next week. hopefully it will be right. it cost me an arm and a leg. 1 bearing + 1 seal = $72 i'm just glad i found it, my bearing was bad enough to let grease pour out of the axle.

i just whent through that too. I had to pay a hefty price for stuff from the ZU dealership after everyparts house in town couldnt get it. It frustrating not being able to find the parts but much more rewarding when it all comes together :)

Hey - if ya pull the carb - let me know how much they want for it. I have to go out to the bone yard and see about a starter for my 75. I think the selenoid is shot, but who knoes?

well i picked up the parts from the isuzu dealer and they are right. but while i was there i mentioned the parts were for a luv and the guy next to me said thats what he was there for. he needed a shifter linkage for a 81 luv with auto tranny. we talked for a minute about luvs then i left. what are the odds of going to an isuzu dealer early on a saturday morning and meeting a guy with a luv and the same year as mine.
