 Post subject: 1980 Chevy Luv

My son was given a tac and when he tried to wire it we can't get the truck to start now. We have changed out the coil and points and still won't start. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Please help!!!!!!!!!!

well my first thought is that mayb e you hooked the wires to the coil on backwards. Try swapping em around, i did that when i installed my tach :oops:
