Or maybe I should say back to the old plans again!

I have another big block and enough parts to put 2 together with gaskets sets are about all I will have to buy. I am planning on putting the 427 short block together over the next couple of months and then using the heads,cam, roller rockers etc. from the 396. The heads from the 454 have just been done and are low performance and will be perfect for the 396 and Asro van Project. I am going to put the little wife in it and use it to pull he Luv to the strip.

The 454 turned out to be a 4 bolt main so it is going in the corner for now and will be used later for the next Luv engine. Maybe a 496 if it needs a crank it. It has a rod knocking and if it is too far gone it will be just a few dollars more for a strocker crank than a 454 crank.

I will be at the strip this spring with the 427 !!!
