Im having trouble locating information on seat belt laws. Im wondering if shoulder belts in chevy luv trucks are mandetory. I remember that shoulder straps weren't required as standard equipment until the early 80's. but do you need to have them in an early luv?

i think the law in ohio is that it has to have what ever came factory, if it only had lap belts thats all you need.
my 1980 has shoulder belts.
on the same subject seatbelt laws SUCK!!!!!! sorry but this is my personal beef why should there be a law to protect only yourself? i think child saftey seats are great and my kids dont ride w/o one. but if your over 18 you should be able to make that decision for yourself.
what makes it worst is ohio has NO HELMENT LAW!!!! WTF???????? :x

My truck came with the lap belt and a shoulder belt that clipped into the lap belt. At that time i dont think shoulder straps were manditory equipment. Im wondering if i'll get ticketed if im not using the shoulder belt. Or even if i remove the shoulder belt all together
