I saw in a different post that a lot of people use weber carbs with kits on their luv, problem is all the carbs with kits are out of my price range. anybody know of a carb i can get for under 250 that'll fit on my 79' luv?

I run a weber 36 DCD on my luv with only one additional adapter plate. Not sure about the pricing though.

Also seen many OZ gemini's running a 32/36 weber carb.

Hope this helps in a direction.
