I hate to have to bring this news, but "oldestisuzuist" (Glen Drain) lost his life in a road accident almost a year ago. I found this out from a mutual friend who dropped by my house unexpectedly. He told me that Glen had stopped to assist another driver, whose vehicle was disabled, and Glen was struck by another vehicle.

Glen's obituary is HERE.

It's impossible to put a value on the help he has provided to members here, PlanetIsuzoo.com, and IsuzuPup.com. His 905 posts here on LUVTruck.com could be considered a "Knowledge Base", as he was a true expert.

I had planned to meet up with him when I was in his area a couple of years ago, but time got away from us, and we didn't get together. I regret that.

Jack

Oh no! I had recently been wondering where he’d been.

Yeah, I'd been wondering for a while. Then a mutual friend from Fayetteville happened to be passing through Memphis, and I asked him where Glen had been lately. That's how I found out.

It's bad enough that our trucks are rapidly disappearing, but wow. Losing the owners is really hard.

Back in 2014, I hosted a P'up meet here in Memphis. We had about 40 owners and wives/significant others in our home that evening. The very next week, one of the guys died suddenly. Really makes you think.
