Hello, I am in the process of installing a sbc with a TH350 in my 1972 LUV. I have installed Hooker Headers on the engine and have copied their engine mounts to mount the engine however I am using a Power by ACE transmission mount with a 3/8" spacer to get clearance on the transmission tunnel. This gave me more clearance than what the Hooker transmission mount was giving me. The transmission I have didn't come with a filler tube so I bought an after market one off of eBay. After trying to make this work there is no way this will clear in the transmission tunnel. I am wondering what others have used on like projects on there LUVs and what year, make model the transmission/filler tube came out of. Thanks

I put a Lokar flex tube in mine. Mytmouz built a custom trans tunnel when he put it together and the tube was still hitting the tunnel area. There’s just not a lot of room for a solid one.

The Lokar is expensive and a PITA but it doesn’t leak.

Thanks for the response drummerforhire! I have been kicking around that option but thought I would see what others have done. Good to hear what you did to address the filler tube issue! Thanks

Just to add to this. Don't waste your money on the cheap Chinese knock offs of the Lokar Flex tubes they sell. Pay for the quality of the name brand. Speaking from experience.

Good info LUVTRKR; for me the price sometimes looks tempting but soon goes away when I find out that the quality sucks! Thanks for noting your experience.
