Hey guys. Been a while since I've been on here but ever since I've been a member (2004) I've been looking for all the answers on how to put coil overs on the front of my 76. Along with part numbers and spring rates and all that good stuff. I know all the info is scattered all over this site but every time I try and look it up I get different info so I decided to just tackle the project myself and figure out what I need. So my question is while I'm doing all this work would everyone like for me to document and take pictures of everything needed from removing the torsion bars down to welding new shock mounts and part numbers and all that so we can possibly make it a sticky subject. Or at least have the majority of everything needed in one topic. If there already is one then I'm a dummy and sorry for wasting the post. Anyways. I'm tearing it apart now so let me know what ya'll think. Thanks.

I think the reason why there are so many different ways posted on how to do the conversion is most are using different types of shocks and lengths.

There is a guy working on a coil over kit on FB. He is testing a prototype now I think. I have seen it done at least 4 ways now, all slightly different.

Search forum... It has been done quite a bit...
I think mitimouse (sp) has listed the ones he has used. Spring rates and capacity. Even brand and model #.

A lot of pictures on different installs... They work good if you do it right... It will cost some $$ but not unreasonable if you can weld and fab them....

Wasn't me in that thread. I just posted that I used whatever I found and made it fit. Did post about the spring rates though...

I know a lot of people do it different. I just figured since I'm in now I would put it out there. I got my shocks today so I'm excited to get them on. The truck has been down for a while now but I'm fixing stuff here and there. After these go on then goes in the 6.0 LS. And hopefully the turbo if I can round up the funds. :D
