Hi, I'm a new Luv owner and I'm glad I found this awesome site!
Anyways, I have a bit of a problem.
It is such a pain to shift gears and we have no idea why. I thought maybe because my mom is older it may be harder for her but when I tried it was like I really hard to force it. Just today we took the little truck out and when my mom tried to put it in reverse it would grind but she finally got it.
What could be wrong?
I don't drive it much cause I was taught to drive with an automatic so im still learning stick shift so my dad drives it around a lot so of course he didn't mention anything and I'm afraid he just tried to fix something that wasn't broken.

Seems funny, but check the metal bracket that the clutch pedal is attached to up under the dash. Sometimes the weld breaks where the pedal bracket attaches with the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal then moves a little out of center each time it is used. Think this is pretty common. Also check the clutch cable (Adjust as necessary) it comes straight out of the firewall on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It's an easy adjustment to make as the bolts are right there.

If it is a hydraulic clutch, it could be the clutch master, and or slave cylinders. If it's a cable clutch, it could just need an adjustment. And it could be the bracket that the peddle hangs from as mentioned in the post before me.
So basically what is happening is when the peddle is pushed, it is not releasing the clutch, like it is supposed to, so you are trying to shift gears with the clutch still, at least partially, engaged.

And if the trans fluid has been changed, it does not use the usual gear oil...
