Picked up another Luv today. It is a 73 with 81,000 miles. Came from Georgia and is a very solid truck. Came with some extra parts. When I get it unloaded I will get some better pictures.

Good find. What are your plans for it?

Right now I plan to do a little work on it keeping it original. And drive it around.

Got some pictures of the Luv. One question I have is the seat original? If so, I am going to get it recovered.

Looks original. A/C, weber, nice find. The hole behind the right rear tire, is that rust or the spare tire crank hole?

It is original. The guy I bought it from just put on the new weber!! The hole is the spare tire crank hole. The story from the guy is that an older gentleman had a Luv years ago and wanted another one. He found this one in Georgia and had it shipped to Iowa. He was doing some work on it fixing it up. He passed away before he got it done. The widow called the brother of the guy I bought it from has she didn't know what to do with it. So this guy bought it for his son to drive when he gets his drivers license in a couple years. A friend of mine who drives truck saw it sitting in an old farm building this summer. He got the address so one Saturday I made a road trip to check it out. Nobody was home so I left my name and number on his house door. About a month later he called me!! I think I got a good deal on it, but what would something like this be worth?

Strange, the hole for the crank is supposed to be a 72 only thing.

I know my 74 doesn't have it. Maybe someone put a 72 box on it??

I don't think the tail lights interchange. 72 are the round ones, unless the light brackets were changed but that takes cutting spot welds and re welding.

I knew they had different tail lights but didn't know for sure about the light mounting. Maybe my truck is super rare!!!! :D
