I dont know how rare these are but I dont see them very often and its already set up for a narrowed rear end. I wonder how many were produced? I always have liked the look.

Nice find, nitrous bottle holders too. I think you just saved some time with that bed. 8)

Buy it!!! If not point to it for all to see. I am sure at lest of us other Texans will buy it. A few months ago I was temped to buy a rust bucket truck out of the Waco area just to get the step side bed.

I do not know if anyone can tell you a total count. From what I understand there were at least 3 different makers if the beds. I am sure a lot of these were even dealer installed. A friend was buying fleet sides beds and making them into trailers. They sold like hot cakes. That was here in Texas too.

See if the bed has International Taillights. That is what is on my step side bed. they like to me. The truck maker. The look like they may be Scout II tail lights. I think you are wright about it being on a race truck. My tail gate is straight, flat not indented like yours.

Mine and some other ones have a fiberglass part that bolts to the back of the cab to make the cab square instead of indented.

ctmandu was looking to make some of these, he did make a few fiberglass parts and was looking at making more things. I think he posted he sold all his step side beds. Not sure if he was getting out of Luvs altogether. I think he had his very nice truck for sell.

Some one else might remember more.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

I have 2 of the 3 styles. The one with those fenders has that tailgate. Tail lights are not mounted in the fenders though...

Had to do some driving but I picked it up. We met up about 2.5 hours from me. So 5 hours at 80 mph and 3/4 tank of diesel and its mine.

Looks like it was a pro street truck it came off of.
