Its pretty straight forward do you have a shop manual?
Are you going to leave the manifolds on? I did one hg woth them on one with them off. If you have new manifold gaskets i would take them off makes manuvering it around much easier.

The egr, copper pipe from exhaust to intake manifold around the back. Is a huge pain to get off so be ready to fight that hard. Heating the manifold with a torch or using some pb blaster etc may help break that loose. The pipe being seized in there was the reason for me keeping the manifolds on the first time around

Other than that tho it is really easy the setup in the heads, timing etc is as basic as can be

ive done my luv 3 times and each time it gets easier, get #1tdc take the intake and exhaust manifolds off with a 12mm wrench , flat screwdriver to loosen timing chain, 17mm takes sprocket off just mark it with a sharpie or something. take out all head bolts with a 10mm allen socket and don't foret the 2 small ones at the front, oh yeah get a zip tie to hang onto that timing chain, if u drop it in the timing cover u may end up in the hospital after just having heart failure, works everytime.

Before you remove the top sprocket from the can wire or zip tie the chain to it. Then unbolt it and leave it loose. You can remove the head leaving it with the chain and block. That will keep the timing chain right where it needs to be on both sprockets.
