 Post subject: 1981 4x4 rear end

I have a 1981 4x4 Luv{standard shift} and the rear end has went out. Can anyone tell me what gear ratio came standard in them? I don't know wether it matters or not but my Luv does have the 2.2 L diesel engine in it. I had some one tell me that the 2 wd and the 4 wd came with the same rear end, is this true?

perty shure they are all the same the gears should be 4:10s or 4:56s.

What part of Ga are you in I have two parts trucks in alabama I live 20 miles west of carroll county ga.

im pretty sure the rear was 4.10, but some did come with 4.56'ers
