I have no idea what the visor is from. A mate found it at a swap meet a few years ago and gave it to me last week. It didn't have any brackets or mounting hardware but i made some brackets from some right angle alloy which clamp the visor to the rain channel and added a couple of stainless screes in the channel as a safeguard.

They made a few different styles back in the day, mine is metal with louvers in it, they also made fiberglass ones.

Mine is Steel with an alloy pinch around the leading edge.

Open to ideas on colour options.

Any chance of a picture of the mounts on yours tilted?

My truck is currently at East Coast Airbrushing getting some Pin striping done by Rod Tickle.

Can't wait to see the result.

The little truck is looking sweet Nick
Love the red rims, white walls & sun visor. I was thinking red rims and white walls too,,, I need some stock rims though, and if I run red & whites, then naturally I'd be bolting them up with extended chrome nuts, and chasing up a set of domes for the dust covers 8)
I've been thinking about big a$$ed sun visor & trying to decide on colour too,,, maybe 'Satin Black' or a 'Satin Grey',,, touch of old skool pin stripes.
The tub I got for mine was of an Isuzu, so I've been hunting down a Chevy badged tailgate with no success to date. From time to time they pop up on ebay (US) but none here in Oz, so I may just get a louvered panel to graft in place of the Isuzu embossing.

Damn,,, you must be tuned into the same inspiration wave lengths as me Nicko???

So far your personal touches are going very very similar to the way I'd planned to go, but lookin sweet as 8)

I missed Greasefest this year, but my daughter was working there over the whole weekend, she quite possibly was one of the stewards at the gate as you came in? Maybe next year there can be a row of LUV's :D :D :D

Sunvisor is off currently.

It is getting some re modelling with a holesaw and a press die for some salt flat racer style speed holes.

No drastic mods further at this stage. Still looking at supercharging the engine but I have an issue right now.

The Luv spat all of its coolant out through the bottom of the waterpump 2 days ago and I had to get a tow truck home. Hard to tell where the leak is coming from until I get the pump off and I wont be able to do that until I am back from work in 2 weeks.

Anyone know if pumps are available for G161 OHV pushrod motors? seems a bit of a long shot and difficult to search for online as the results are always crowded with G161Z components.

I'm in Brissy area & have a running G161z that'll be yanked out soon to make way for the 4ZD1 plus there's parts off the other G161z that I had,,, you're welcome to rat them

Hi Sherro57, Sorry I haven't been on here in a long time!

I am looking at rebuilding the G161 OHV motor shortly. I do need a set of con rods from a G161Z to use the domed Gemini Pistons I have. Is your motor still available? What would you be chasing for it?

A recent pic of my Luv.

It now has a 32/36 Weber on it and I finally fitted the electronic ignition kit I bought about a year ago.
