Hi again LUV crowd,

It's been a long time since I have done anything on the site following my dash restoration and discussion of decals. Last summer I started doing body work, upholstery and a few other things. Spring made it possible to do the paint and finally the decals to complete the project for the present time. I still want to try restoring the wheel caps if possible just to keep things on the original side.

For what it is worth, I traced my original 4x4 decal then followed that with decal dimensions for the stripes. Everything went into Photoshop and Illustrator to make it print ready. I took everything to my local graphic experts and by working with them came up with a very close reproduction of the original decal set. The original decal set was done in blue and black for the blue truck but I liked the orange and reddish complementary colors that were used on my tailgate. Positive comments, thumbs up and everything else that has been happening tells me it wasn't such a bad idea.

You might like to know that the printing was done by http://drivingforcegraphics.com/ here in Bend Oregon. Kevin has all the info to change colors or provide part or all of the decal set. Since this site provides copies of the LUV brochures, it's easy to find out the proper colors to use. I'm very pleased with their work and for those still wondering where to get the graphics now you know.

Here are some shots of what things look like now. The shots were taken late so don't have proper colors, but you get the idea. :D

Cheers,
Kozstudio

That looks fantastic? How much are they charging for the decals?

They charged me $350.00 which included time on their part to add things to my original information I had given them. They also applied the decals. I would think that the cost to you would be less since no time is involved for the application and the extra work other than printing. It costs nothing to contact them to get the particulars.

I'm sorry it took so long to reply but I am very involved in a house restoration.

That price is fair. I paid more for my sprint cars that were done.
