How many LUVs do you think are around Vancouver and Portland? i see them once in a while, and i get excited when i do, so that tells you i dont see them often. The only ones i see around my area is a white one with no tail gate, and a red 4x4 in some guys driveway that looks like it doesnt run.

I've seen several. A baby blue one in the Albertsons parking lot, a forest green one near Evergreen high school with a small block in it (years ago) white Mikado in a driveway, yellow one, black 4x4 out near battleground.

I love seeing them. Ha. I yell at my wife "look a luv!"

Spokane has the most members for any one city.

Washington state is second to California for LUVTruck.com members.

Well I wouldn't mind joining, you youngsters, whenever I get my Luv up and running. That probably won't happen in the near future though.

yup, the 4.3L v6 from a s10 blazer, its basically a 6 cylinder version of the 350, often called a 3/4 350.
i like to drift and the 1.8 just didnt have the torque to get it sideways unless it was wet out.

That's awesome that a nother luv owner js into drifting! I want to fo a swap for a v6 from an old Buick, but I don't have hardly any experience with that stuff so I doubt it will happen.

there is a diagram on this site that shows what the mounts you need to drop the buick v6 in look like. its been done a good few times. if you found an aluminum block 231 (3.8) v6 it would be an animal

How difficult do you think that swap would be?

My plan is to wait till I have a job and save for a beat up GM car or truck with a v6 and 5 sp tranny, drift the car all day and destroy it, pull the engine, scrap the car and go on with the build.
