I want to know more about the luv and ya history an all that, I have researched it a lot and still want to know a bit more, from what I understand, it was made by Isuzu as the Faster, thanchevy bought rights to it, put their badge on and sold it in the states? And is my truck made in America or Japan, any information on the history of our trucks is wanted, thanks.

Wow, the author of that article can't seem to separate "history" from "opinion". To GM, the LUV was a convenient stepchild that they could sell against the Ford, Datsun, and Toyota trucks until the S10 was in utero. Once that happened, they lost all interest in the LUV, and sales languished. The author seems to blame lagging sales on the 2nd-gen's styling. That doesn't follow, because Joe Isuzu sure sold a bunch of them without the Chevy bowties.

And how many times does the author mention the addition of a diesel in 1981? Right. :roll:
