I thought it would be fun to share why you are a member here.
I’ll start:
I’ve always been a gearhead and enjoyed doing my own mechanic work. I have wanted a Chevy Luv since they were introduced back in the 70’s, of course back then starting a family and raising kids had to be a priority. I drove pieces of crap held together with bailing wire and certainly could not afford a “new luv”.
I happened on one a while back that was in good stock condition and though I paid too much for it, I bought it because finally I could. I still have my dwell meter and old stuff from back when you had to have that stuff to keep your car running. I intend to keep mine as stock as I can and drive it forever.
I joined this forum to see how other people think when it comes to these little trucks and expect to learn from others experience and if given the opportunity maybe share some of my old school knowledge. This forum is a great place to find the odd part or learn from others experience when tackling a project.

When my son got his driver's license I bought him a '79 LUV. It didn't have airbags etc...(but then again, it didn't go fast either). I painted it and rebuilt the Isuzu engine and fell in "LUV". He thought it was awesome too. He's in College now and his little sister drives it (and loves it). I get to do weekend trips to the hardware store if I'm lucky. If I ever get the chance I will buy a second LUV. These trucks are fun to drive and easy to work on. My third child wants one now...I have found this forum has been a huge help when I need assistance. The experience represented here is amazing. I log on often..
