seen another today.....
well 3 peices of one dude has a 74 cab, bed, and front end(which is set up to tilt ) but hes using the frame for a sedan delivery hotrod.
said he would take $150 for all (frame NOT included)
wadda yall think? should i buy it for a future blown sbc street beast?
heres the condition that i could tell:

cab...floorpans,shot...dash,cluster,ect..,gone(he may have these tho) glass,good..has sliding rear window and vent door windows..overall paint and body, decent (been setting for awhile)

bed...full of stuff so i couldnt see much..tailgate needs a little work...rear panels right behind the tires bent on both sides where someone dropped it...overall body and paint same as cab

frontend...i think i seen the grill laying in the bed...fenders and hood welded together for the tilt...tilt brackets in stalled....fender wells removed...and hole cut in top of hood.....body and paint ...same.

so what do yall think? keep in mind my 80 is still sans eng and trans and been that way for awhile and it (like most things) will never be truly done

just todayI saw more than 20 luvs going down the road I only saw about 1 or 2 sitting in weeds and the rest restored. Hey if you ever come to Wa state visit marysville youll se lots for sale and the best place to find parts for them.

i've only seen 3 in my town.one was a longbed.i guess the owner didn't care about it.it looked like crap.the other one i always see.now that poor thing is past the grave.a really old man drives it.its got a cap on the bed and if you look through the window you can see all this old junk.its got so much weight in it that the bumper is about a half a foot off the ground.the last one i only saw once and i'm still looking for it.it looked so good i choked on my drink.it was a 80 dropped to the ground and was bright orange, nice rims,and sounded good and loud.i kept up with him for a couple of minutes but then a camaro pulled up to him wanting to race and he was gone.still wandering what he had under the hood

seen this one today at the mall where i work. had to hang around and chat w/ the dude (on the clock of course)
pretty nice needs a little work on the body tho. and he said he blew the first eng. and replaced it w/ another 1.8.
oh yeah and id KILL for his dash freakin MINT

larphead where are you in ohio?i was raised in cincinnati.love that town.hopefully moving back in about a year.i don't think i ever saw a luv out there.

im in meigs county about 3 1/2 hrs east of cincy
my bro-in-law lives in cincy
and yeah ive seen more porsches than luvs around here

well, saw a different one today... The guy really beat it up.. Had a huge arc welder in the back.. must have outweighed the truck... Was a shame... truck looked like it was hurting.. looked like a 79-80..

I saw a white 78-80 yesterday pulling a car on a dolly.
the LUV's seem to be plentiful down here.

I guess that Oklahoma is a hot spot for Luv trucks. I probably see 10 or so a week. I saw probably that many on the way back home this weekend (very southeastern corner of OK). There are a few guys around here who have three or four just laying around.
Just thought I would let you guys know - just in case I need to go huntin' for someone - let me know.

lol.. saw different one today.. This one was very nice.. Looked very good.. Yellow 79 or 80.. I have seen a lot more that i am really looking for them.. Need to get mine out there.....

Well I have to say that I think there are some people intimidated by these trucks !!!! Lol Cause it seems like everytime I'm on the road some dork wants to race me. Well I have to sit back and tell myself....... self...... you aint got a V-8 in this baby yet and the day you do get it in her thats when they arent gonna try anything so they dont get embarrASSed in front of anyone. I had a guy with a formula firebird trying to race me on the way to the hospital this afternoon. I looked at him and laughed And all I could think of was 383 stroker would dust his punk a** Dont get me wrong my dream car is a 67 firebird with the 400 ram-air But when you get these guys who think they own the road cause they got a nice shiny red (hot-rod) sometimes ya gotta shut em down!!!! lol well anyway I have ranted enough just thought I'd vent real quick

ive only seen a couple of luvs besides mine. they are not in very good shape(not that mine is a show ride either ) but i havent seen very many. i had a guy the other day ask me what my truck was. he must have grown up under a rock.
