So my daughter has been complaining about squeaky brakes. Today I roughed up the rotors, (the brakes on the front are new). Then I turned the truck around to install a new e brake cable. Well I found worn shoes and leaky, wheel cylinders, with one piston froze up. So parts are ordered and it will get finished on Saturday.

Yikes! Surprised that she didn't notice the back end trying to pass up the front? :)

Maybe that's a good thing? Maybe she drives too mellow to notice?

Ah, you start on something long neglected, and you have no idea where you will have to go. Good luck.

I hate it when that happens! Good luck.

That's usually my luck. In fact, I have gotten to the point when I replace rear prake shoes I always replace wheel cylinders. Glad you found it before something happened.

I think that's about the only part of this truck that I had not gotten into yet. I'm sure I glanced at the shoes while doing tires before, but they were good then, and I didn't look any further.
