Why is there barely anything ever said about the 81 model. Did I buy another year model vehicle that nobody wants but me  . All the places I have looked into fiberglass hoods have everything but the 81's. I never see anything about em.

The 81s share a lot of (nearly all) parts with Isuzu PUPs of 81 and later years. You might have better luck looking for parts for an 81~85 Isuzu PUP pickup. I'm not sure what years match, but I recall the PUP changed styles a bit around 85 or so. The 83 PUP I had for a time looked just like an 81 LUV, though to be honest I never had it side by side with one so check some for yourself.

werd, 81-87 isuzu pups are the same body as the 81 luv.... they were the same truck however as isuzu moved up in years they released more stuff for it like powersteering and ac, 2.3L and 2.6L engines extended cabs....

your not alone here, I too have that body style truck, I have an 84 pup... its just that most people didn't mod these out like they did the older body style luvs.... however there are a few people that are working on thier 81 luvs and 81-87 pups to make them awesome.....If you want some ideas head over to streetsource.com and do a search on readers rides in the comunity section... you find tons of luvs and pups with pics and details on whats happening to them...
