In the past month, 5 people have died by getting hit by a car. Pedestrians!!! Weather they were in a cross walk or jaywalking..., the most recent one was just after 18:00 last night. The accident that impacted the city most, was a sherif traveling at a high rate of speed(90-95mph) WITH OUT his light or sirens on, killing 2 ppl instantly.

This is one of my biggest fears personally, I couldn't imagin what I would do if I accidentally hit a pedestrian. I see people everyday standing on a center divider waiting for a break in traffic to run across... 20 feet away is a crosswalk. Supposedly, pedestrians are supposed to have the right of way, but I honestly believe they stopped teaching that in drivers education. Everyone is in such a rush these days and especially around the holiday's, they don't think about what's going on around them when thay're in their car. Please pay attention to what you are doing and what everyone else is doing. Give yourself plenty of room and always have a open lane to merge into just incase, look 50 yards ahead, check your mirrors.

Tis the season to spend with your families and luved ones!!! You don't want tragedies to happen around holidays..., I hope this opens up eyes and makes ppl think.

Around here, if you leave plenty of room ( 10ft ) between you and the car ahead, some azzwipe cuts in ahead of you. While pedestrians and bikes have the right of way (and I agree with it), size does matter...

My father taught me, 1 car length apart for every 10mph of travel..., might be a lil much, but better safe than sorry~

Yep, seen some extra special driving the past couple days.

Of course, so cal is famous for that anyway, but it's even worse than normal.

Around here people like to nail cal-trans workers too.

cops around Spokane drive like teenagers regardless of time of day or road conditions... you would think they were 16 and there parents just bought them there first car and just got done dropping $20g in to it... darting in and out of traffic, excess speeding with out lights or siren, failure to signal (don't think i have seen a cop this week signal while changing lanes) its no wonder they kill so many people...


with that how can you really blame drivers... i lived in a small podunk hick town just out side of spokane for a few years... and the city council thought it was a good idea to put mid walks in town (from one bar to the other)... they killed 9 people in a matter of 6 months... pedestrian would hit the button and immediately step out in to traffic thinking cars would stop....

On Thursday I flew from Camarillo to San Diego and stayed at 3500 feet over the coastline, except for LAX, they put me right over the top of it. On the way down we spotted over a dozen accidents from the air that were miltiple cars. We also flew by 4 blimps, it was a strainge flight. Looked to us Huninton Beach/Newport Beach as the most accidents.

Hell I was doing a 140KTS and no issues
