I've been putting a little work into my interior. I installed a voltage meter and temp gauge below the heater controls and a tach on the steering column. New dash cap, new stereo, and I spent a few hours touching up all the silver trim around the vents, gauges, glovebox, and the letters on the heater/ac controls. I also put a fresh black finish on my badly faded turn signal arm and ashtray. I was lucky to start off with a spectacular interior, but there's always room for improvement.

I can't tell you guys how much difference a dash cap makes in the OVERALL appearance of a truck! Best $$$$ I've spent so far.

I bought my dash cap from this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DASH-PAD ... 584wt_1084
cheapest I was able to find. I agree with SRAD, by far the most striking upgrade to the truck, made the interior look 100x better.

Thanks for the compliments.

My coco floor mats came in and I finished up the stereo so the seat is back in...that's factory '78 upholstry there. Not too shabby.

What did you use to touch up the chrome trim on the glove box, etc.. Is that seat recovered? If so, how much was it?

The seat is factory original. The trim I touched up with a fine tip silver paint pen. It's not a mirror-finish chrome like the original, but more of a matte silver. It's convincingly factory as long as you make sure everything matches.

I got them here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=Vie ... 0499406277
After I ordered mine I stumbled across this company who offers a few more colors/options: http://www.cocomats.com/

Just a heads up to anyone thinking about ordering the coco mats I have: after less than 2 months, and ZERO miles of driving, the blue has faded out almost completely. I'm playing email tag right now in hopes of getting a refund, so we'll see what happens.

They're going to send me a new set, they do have good customer service. I'll probably wait until I have some tint on my windows before I throw them in so they have some UV protection. We'll see what happens to them.

Installed my early-model light up switch panels:

The switch on the right will control a pair of fog lights that are sitting in my room:

Your dash is looking good!
I looked at the link you provided (thanks!) and found another dash pad for $77.83.
I ordered it!

Now I need another rug and the seat reupholstered.
