had a gentleman send some pics of his luv in japan. here is what he said about it...enjoy


Engine:1810cc original style with really clean & show up & well maintained
Mission:5MT(from isuzu 117 coupe)
Engine No:G180
Chassis No:C8820****
Interier:special roll-bar&side-bar(7-point),Seat from Lotus Europe 47GT,Simpson 4 point seat belt,Granz Stearing
Front suspension:modified suspension with disk brake,145/65/R15
Rear suspension:5 inch rowered,short stroke shock,215/65/R15
Exterior customised point:
Rear part;All the bed was restored with very professional metal work to be almost like full original bed(like delivered from the factory),
Narrowed rear tire house for using fatty tires
For front part;front bamper shortened & make the center shaped"V"because we want to make the face to "MORE CHEVY FACE"like 1969 Camaro.
Painted by Soul Art & Rod
Pinstriped by SugiSackStudio
Featured magazines:Custom car,Cruisin,Lightning,Vintage Auto,Truck Trends,Other fashion magazines
Condition:All the time keep it in Garage with covered only for show using,Show condition

Paint and body work look perfect....great stance...super clean truck...he has a little different idea than me when I say "fatty tires" :D 20K US? 8O .....

i know $20g's.. here i dont think so but in Japan where they are only a few , who know? and i do like the paint collors

That is beautiful! 8) I am in awe over that paint! :esurprised 3 of the nicest LUVs I have ever seen are from Japan.
Anybody know anything about the indentations on the tailgate???? :?:

i thought they where just where your hand goes when you open the gate levers that he shaved off

Yea, thats what I figured, just wondered if anyone knew why they are different than our trucks, plus there are no other body mods done to the truck except the emblems and bed hooks.

Man, they have to keep the trucks nice in Japan if they want to make it worth it... Don't they have a tax that "encourages" people to buy new cars?

I really like this truck everything looks great!

Well there is 1 thing that i dont care for which is the wheels but thats my opinion!

Just an FYI, they arent rims, they are spun aluminum covers that screw on or clip on to a steel rim, just a big flat hubcap.

I'm confused... Weren't our LUV trucks sold in Japan? I figured they would be more prolific in their home country. Troy, weren't you on the hunt for original Japan parts/documentation a while back?
