That price is middle to high-middle of the range. If the body and frame are good, and no serious mechanical issues, it's probably priced right in line with others in its condition. They're great vehicles, as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations.

Fuel economy should be right at 30 mpg in everyday driving (2wd would be closer to 35 mpg). This diesel is one of the most durable engines ever made.

Since this is a 4-speed, with 4.10 diffs and a 4,250 RPM redline, you're looking at a cruising speed of about 60 on the highway. If you want to cruise at 75, the 4wd is not for you.

On the Isuzu P'up forum, we call this an Isuzu P'up with a bowtie. Even though Chevy stopped selling it at the end of '82, Isuzu continued selling it through '87. Some parts are hard to find, but most will interchange with the later-model ones that are badged as Isuzu P'ups.

Hope that helps.

Jack

I put 15" rims on mine and can cruz real nice at 65mph on the freeway. Like jack said they are very well built. I have a 2wd with 280,000 miles on it. Buy it up now ,cause the prices on these trucks are going to keep going up. And when diesel is ten bucks a gallon you can convert to wvo. tt
