I bought JamesH3's stepside bed today. Took the fenders off, put the bed in my trailer, put the fenders in the bed and strapped it all down. Apparently not good enough. Somewhere along the 100 mile drive from his place to Memphis, I lost a fender.

We drove all the way back to Newport, with no luck. On the way back, my wife spotted it, 15 miles from Memphis. It was on the side of the interstate, between some construction barrels in a closed lane. Unharmed.

It has been an eventful day, but after 10 years of searching, I have acquired my stepside bed.

Thanks to JamesH3 and his cool family for their hospitality while dealing with 4 Mississippi lunatics.

No kidding dude. We creeped up those highways, looking. We got out several times for false alarms. We searched for nearly 4 hours.
