hey guy's,
thank's for the forum and the oppertunity to ask a question and check out all the nasty rides!!!After owning and racing a few chev luv's over the years I've developed a bit of a soft spot for them and was looking to buy another one to build up as a work truck but here in Australia they're becoming a little light on the ground these days, so I bought a 97 Holden (Isuzu) Rodeo with power steer and air with the intention of an Ls1 and powerglide swap...My question to my luv brothers is they seem to have a lot of stuff that looks familiar...chassis, steering box position, torsion bars all look like their chev luv cousins...can anyone shed some light on it for me and let me know is there any parts you have in the U.S. that may help with my swap, in particular air con and alt brackets that sit up on the engine as the ones we have sit everything down low and does any one do a gen1 engine mount kit or adapter, I have started collecting some bits and pieces, rear sump and the LS to chev engine mount adapters...I have some exhaust manifolds and some shorty type headers so i'll see what works and go from there...looking forward to any advice or information...cheers and thank's in advance, George.

Chevy Luvs are kinda like the older brother to Holden Rodeo's, and yes they share a lot similarity's. My Luv or Isuzu KBD40 as its known in Australia has parts fitted from newer model Rodeos and Trooper's(Holden Jackaroo).
You could try theese Australian companys http://www.v6conversions.com.au/RODEO.HTM *
http://www.rodshop.com.au/ for conversion parts. Or visit http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/index.php ... 6b5d7b213b

It does have a license plate so technically it is a street truck, that sets off car alarms and makes kids cry. lol

Try these guys for your accessory issues...(if money is not an issue!) they have a trick billit pulley system designed to relocate everything upwards, and within the dimensions of the block.

Very cool, and Very expensive. (but, hey, it's an option.)
