Just got the wiring harness finished last week and drove the LUV for the first time since the begining of May. Everything seems to work, which by the way amazed me! Unfortunately the oil pump decided to completely die just up the road and had to idle home. Ordered a new oil pump and while waiting for it to come in, my nephew dropped off a 1988 GMC Sierra for me to have. The engine runs great (compression test runs from 157 to 168), starts easy and didn't see any smoke! :D The transmission is trashed but I have my 700 R4 at hand. So, now I can drive the LUV while stripping the Sierra down and if things go right, will swap the engine and tranny by the end of the year. Anyone have a wiring diagram of what part of the harness to use to keep the throttle body? He also gave me an old aluminum intake and Edelbrock/Weber carb, but the exterior looks like it had been sitting outside in the weather for some time. I will be tearing it apart soon to see if it can be salvaged/rebuilt, but need to catch up on the honey-do list which has grown quite a bit :( .....
Ahh yes, having a running V8 and drivetrain that just needs a bit of cleaning before dropping in. Sometime good things DO come to those that bitch a lot!!!!!!
Now to finish putting the front end of my LUV back together (oil pump is in and I now have 48 psi at idle) and start stripping the Sierra down when time permits.

Glad your LUV is back running again. Good luck with the Sierra. I have to install a new air dryer and then my sons LUV is allllllllmost ready to paint...his LUV will be back on the road again as well.
