Good to hear from you, thanks...we were digging through some old photos and threw the videos together.
The yellow chopped truck you have for the link to other stepsides, was built by "Kolor Me Kustom" Vinnie Bergman..... I found an old video taken at the car shows and some custom shops back in the day, it's got that truck in it...I will post it one of these days and let you know...lot of history there.

Later!

OK. I watched the vids, and I saw my old LHHS auto shop teacher in some of the shots, at the school shop. Jim Hurley, is your dad, right?
I remember the El Camino, that I saw in the background, and in the vid about your bikes, I saw your mom's (I think) Chevy Caprice or whatever it was. I remember sanding on it so Mr. Hurley could repair and paint it after one of his sons wrecked it a bit. 8O That was when the pearl white came off of it and the cream/yellow went on.
I learned a lot from that man, in high school. (class of 1984). Is he still around? What's he up to?

I didn't go to the school, but I sure hung out at the body shop when ditching from my school-lol

I had a yellow V8 Vega with lic plate that read TRYNPAS (try and pass).

It's amazing how many people remember my father. He never charged anyone for the work he did and was always willing to help...I feel very lucky to have him in my life.

And as for Ron...thanks for bringing back memories, I was the one that wrecked the Impala!

there are videos of the Elcamino, the 280ZX, Bad Ju-Ju and old cars on youtube, you will see pics taken at the old autoshop

Well I am a bit older than you guy's I guess. I was Class of 76 in Fullerton. Thanks for sharing the videos. They bring back lots of memories. I was lucky enough to meet the late Tom McMullen (he created Truckin', Street Rodder and several other excellent magazines) back in '75 at the sunday night street racers meetings near my house.

Oh yea, I've been watching all your videos. They're great. I remember Bad Juju also. Gene's Glass was a landmark there in La Habra.
