Well that's looking mighty good. What year did you get those off of, does any year work, checked on ebay and found a lot of 04-08 stuff, and I think those are all fuel injected right.

Mine are 99 yamaha r1 but the 98 to early 2001 are the same. Just make sure they are carbs and not TB's
You can use any kind but everyone seems to use the 98/01 R1 as they are the best and easy to convert over... most companies that make the intakes only do so for the R1's

i have seen them on ebay go for under $100 and as much as $200 have seen some on the R1 forums go for $50 so you just have to look around ... allso you can check the bike wrecking yards...

02 and up are the TB but its a simple vacuum setup so it shouldnt be that hard to adapt

you can get the megasquirt assemble yourself system on ebay for $200 if you know how to solder.

Yes but I am not a good electronics guy and I figure I would mess it up. As with the megajolt you can buy in kit form for $89 but I went for the assembled one for $160...
my luck i would fry it when i put it together...

yea thats a bit confusing? unless you had a bent valve in that cylinder along with the off timing?

Stopped by ctmandu's shop on the way home today and he took me for a spin around the block. I have to admit even untuned with the stock ignition system and no vacuum advance that g180 pushed my back into my seat.

It was a depressing ride home in my stock truck. :smt088

Good work ct sign me up for version 2.0.

Isn't there a way to put a vacuum port on one of the runners on that manifold, CT?
