That doesn't sound too bad to me. That was the last year of that body style and the 7.3 is a great engine, especially being upgraded w/the turbo. If it is a supercab it would be more valuable than the standard cab, in my opinion. If there is no rust it's probably worth it. Are they asking $3K or is that what you are thinking of offering?

Auto Tranny or manual ? How are the tires? Tires can cost you more than $500, but I think a single wheel truck is better than a dully in a WHOLE lot of cases. Unless you are carrying more than 15,000 lbs you do not need a dully. Sounds like a ok Price. I like a Cummins engine better. But you should have seen a non turbo 7.3 I think the 7.3 has some better qualities than the 6.0 Drive it.. It should have ok power. If you feel better have a shop check it out. That should be a $100 or so. They can run a compression and leak down test on it. Remember it costs more than a gas engine to repair. A lot of things a lot more.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Sounds like a good deal. I just sold my 88 Chevy 1 ton dually with a BBC with 143,000 miles for $2500. It was in good shape.
